Oh, wow! What a nightmare.
I sure hope that you can safely get your car to the car repair place and that your wife will be able to get your "new" car and pick you up at lunch time. What a tangled mess this is.

Yippee! We got the "new" car today! The salesman at the dealership let my wife drive HIS car to my place of employment so that I could sign the papers. 
My car will not get looked at until Wednesday. At least I got it to the shop.

My car is still down, but at least we have the "new" car.
Today, I shall ride the bus to work, since my wife must be at work from now until my time to start.
Two more days of work, including today, and then I get to play for one whole week of vacation! I will likely go out of town for most of one day and part of another, but I should have quite a bit of time to catch up on my online gaming and Runboard-ing.

Things went from bad to worse. Still no air conditioning at home...
Then my wife's "new" car broke down -- starter out most likely.
Now, we got "90 days same as cash" to cover the repair. It is just a matter of when the shop can get to it...

Wow! We are still paying for that car AND the repair.
I am currently without a car -- going on a year of that nonsense soon!
I have gotten more into my Warhammer Quest gaming. I was in a major slump there for a while, but have bounced back a little.
My place of employment has been giving me the same shift to work five days in a row for several weeks now -- soon to be two months in a row! This is better than before, when they would schedule me back and forth between mornings and evenings.

I am on vacation again! I get three weeks a year now -- the second year in a row. This is the most paid time off I have ever had at any job. If I reach the 15 years of service mark, I will get FOUR weeks of paid vacation.

So.... I think my place of employment has just added "the last straw" on my back today -- you know the one, the straw that broke the camel's back! I have been employed there for about eight and one-half years, the longest I have been employed anywhere. Of course, I MUST make sure I have another comparable source of income first, but I am very convinced that I should leave soon. Perhaps immediately after I take my third and final week of paid vacation this year. All the more reason to put in for my vacation ASAP!
What will I do? I do not know... Perhaps I can drive a cargo van across country for my dad. Fond are my memories of driving for a living. Sure, traffic and weather can make it not so enjoyable, but I think I could handle that much better than the unreasonable expectations of my bosses at my current job.

So, yes I put in my two-week notice at the place where the "last straw" landed on my back.
I am on vacation this week. I have had two interviews too. I have only put in three applications so far...
